Heading North from this trailhead will lead the hiker into the Allegheny National Forest section of the North Country Trail.
Heading South from this trailhead will lead the hiker through more Pennsylvania forests, on the way to Cook Forest State Park. The next trailhead South is the North End Forest Road trail head.
