Lawrenceburg City council created Arch Street Park in cooperation with Indiana Gaming (Argosy Casinos), when they agreed in 2007 to exchange the old Arch Street Park for Argosy’s temporary valet parking.
The casino donated $250,000 to the building of a new bigger park where the valet parking lot once was.
The playground was constructed by Snider & Associates.
It features wheelchair-accessible structures, paved surfaces, accessible restrooms, picnic tables, swings, and drinking fountains.
There are also basketball courts and other play areas.
It's also one of the biggest playgrounds in the area.
