This mural, painted by artist Robert Gillespie ,is about 2.5 by 10 meters. This is the second mural for the village of Clyde in the Mural Mania Trail . This mural depicts Abraham Lincoln stopping in Clyde, NY in Februari 1861 for a wood and water stop. Abraham Lincoln
is speaking from the back of the train to the people of the village of Clyde. On the right side of the mural we see the frozen Erie Canal with some of the children skating.

The canal Village of Clyde was the only stop made between Rochester and Saracuse by the Lincoln Inaugural Train Monday, Februari 18, 1861.
This mural, from the brush of Robert Gillespie, depicts the President-elect addressing an immense crowd which had gathered at the depot.
