This time capsule was placed by the Evesham Twp. Tricentennial Committee and is to be opened in November 2088. The marker is nothing more than a very fancy plaque bolted to a rock, covering the capsule under the ground. I found it while walking down the sidewalk.
Evesham Township dates back to November 6, 1688, when it was formed as Eversham. It was incorporated as one of New Jersey's original 104 townships by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798. It is a great town with still a lot of farm land compared to my town of Cherry Hill which hardly anything left. We sold out, they did not.
