The memorial is located just off the Police Track in the Moonee Range in Victoria.

The memorial is for two airmen, L.A.C. L.W. Masters and Sgt. M.W. Sowter, who crashed here in fog in 1942. Their plane was a Wirraway A-20-265.

The crash site is well sign-posted and access in a 2WD is possible. The track to the crash site passes through a bee farm so please be careful.
