This reference mark is located about 200 feet south of the Ginkgo Petrified Forest Museum at Vantage, Washington. The cap is set in bedrock, about 30 feet west of rim of a 200 ft cliff and about 70 feet east the park road. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1957 and was marked MUSEUM NO 2.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1957. TO REACH THE BENCH MARK FROM THE POST OFFICE IN VANTAGE GO WEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 10 FOR 0.5 MILE TO THE GINKGO PETRIFIED FOREST MUSEUM ENTRANCE ROAD ON THE LEFT. TURN LEFT AND GO SOUTH ON THE MACADAM ROAD FOR 1.0 TO THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE MUSEUM AND THE BENCH MARK. IT IS 71 FEET EAST OF THE ENTRANCE ROAD TO THE MUSEUM, 33 FEET WEST OF THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF AND CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK WHICH IS FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND.
