This benchmark is located along Wash. Hwy. 10 about 10 miles east of Kittitas, Washington, just east of the road north to the Wild Horse Wind Facility. The cap is set in the top of a concrete post which rises about 6 inches above ground about 55 feet north of highway centerline near east end of roadside turnout. Cap location is marked by two Carsonite markers and is near fenceline. The cap was set by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1938 and was marked 19E, 2628 feet.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1947. 4.1 MILES EAST ALONG KITTITAS ROAD FROM THE CHICAGO, MILWAUKEE, ST. PAUL AND PACIFIC RAILROAD STATION AT EAST KITTITAS, THENCE 1.6 MILES EAST ALONG BENTLEY ROAD, THENCE 2.5 MILES EAST ALONG THE OLD HIGHWAY, THENCE 1.3 MILES EAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 10, AT THE TOP OF A LONG GRADE, 55 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 1.8 FEET SOUTH OF A WIRE FENCE, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.5 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND. WITNESS POST SET 2.9 FEET WEST OF THE MARK.
