Long Description:
Lord/Sir John Forrest (1847–1918) was a major figure in the history and development of Western Australia in the latter half of 19th century: explorer, surveyor, politician, businessman. Additional details of his life can be found on the waymark of his statue: WM801J.

Forest was born in the small town of Bunbury, ~200kms south of Perth. Here, in his home town is a large bust to his memory. It is composed of stone (cement), and painted white. It is situated in a very small park, off the main road of the town. His expression looks pensive, or possibly unhappy. I suspect that this style of sculpture could be described as 'modern'.
