The Ellensburg Masonic Lodge #39 is located on the north side of Sixth Ave. between Main and Pearl Sts. The Lodge #39 was organized in 1882 and began meeting in its own building in Feb. 1889 at the NW corner of Fourth and Pine. On July 4, 1889, the Great Ellensburg Fire occured which burn 10 blocks of downtown Ellensburg including the new lodge building. In June 1890, the cornerstone for a new (current) building on Sixth Ave. was laid and the first meeting in the building occurred in Dec. 1890. Due to the Panic of 1893 the Lodge lost ownership of the building in 1895. In 1908 the Lodge was able to repurchase the building and meetings continue there today.
