Summits of Calanca Murata (1407 m) together with Punta Velaco (1483 m) create a small ridge SE of the famous Col de Bavella (Bavella pass, SE Corsica). Both of them are good targets for hikers loving great vistas and harsh mountain trails, but the access to Calanca Murata summit is easier (thanks to well marked trail leading to the tourists often visited stone arch "Trou de la Bombe" located directly between both peaks).
