Ryland Dog Park in San Jose, California is located under a highway overpass and makes use of what would probably be an otherwise unused area. The surrounding fence is decorated with metal images of dogs. There's a picnic table at which to sit, but it's simply a dirt area with no frills.
Best access to the park is to turn southbound from Taylor onto North San Pedro Street. If you are coming from North First Street, you must be traveling southbound, so you can make a right turn onto a connecting street, such as Fox or Clayton. North San Pedro Street will then take you to the Ryland Park parking lot.
