This tower is located just east of the new Fire Department and Rescue buildings in Maxton, NC. It is the newer of the two located in the town limits.

This tower is part of the town water system of Maxton, NC. This community is fortunate to have such good the water resources. In the heydey of US textiles, this community was connected to the shared water system at the Laurinburg-Maxton Industrial Park located at the old airbase. This helped supply water from deep wells for this town and neighboring Laurinburg. With the waning of the textile industry, the community has abundant land and water to host future development.
