The sculpture measures 9' wide by 4' high.

The sculptor, Chicagoan Jill Parker, described her work as showing a "social and technological merging of man and machine." Parker attended the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.

When I saw the sculpture, I felt that the center to left-of-center figures represented firemen reaching in to save the figures to the right.

The dilapidated bench out front (see photo) is not an intentional work of art, I believe :)
