Hat Yai is a major town in southern Thailand. It has a number of interesting sights, one of which is this sizeable temple, Wat Hat Yai Nai.

The principal feature of this Wat is its reclining Buddha—the largest in southern Thailand. The Buddha is 35m long and the head is 15m high. The Buddha was added to the temple in 1972. The temple has the full range of facilities: crematorium, ordination hall, monks in residence, and an attached school.

The temple is a major tourist attraction in the region, it is also the major temple for the town of Hat Yai.
