Old Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church is located approximately 5 miles north of Laurinburg, NC. The address is 15301 McFarland Road, Laurinburg, NC at the intersection of McFarland Rd and Elmore Road. This church has remained steadfast through the trials of history including the War Between the States and the Great Depression. Its congregation is known through out the area of for its good works for the church family and for the community. Of recent times it is probably more known for its ingatherings in November but is really best known for the Union troops who camped on the grounds and area. Some of the troops left graffiti in the belfry etched on and written on the plaster walls. The church is listed on the North Carolina Civil War Trails tour. This church is the original building from 1856.
