The David Davis III & IV house was originally built in 1872. The Colonial Revival was substantially remodeled in 1898 with Gregory Harvey as architect. The house was owned by David Davis III and the his son David Davis IV. They are descendants of David Davis, lawyer, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, U.S. Senator and close confidant of Abraham Lincoln.
