Flossmoor is a unique restaurant/brewpub in an old train station in the southwest Chicago area. It is fairly convenient to Midway Airport.

Flossmoor is one of my more favorite Chicago area brewpubs. The atmosphere is interesting and menu pretty good. For beer, there is a variety. On the lighter side, the raspberry wheat was servicable for me. The honey ale is quite sweet, and more sweet than I like, but those who like a sweet beer, would be happy with it. The wheat is quite good. They have an amber ale that is heavier than you would expect. I liked it, but thought I had gotten a brown ale that was hoppier than normal! I did not sample the stouts.
For food, on the first trip my friends loved the taco special in the bar that night. The soup is quite good there, especially the french onion soup, and the bread also is good. The menu has decent appetizers through full meals.
If anything, this is a nice spot for an interesting location and some good food and beer.
