This Queen Anne home which sits on half a block was built in 1895 by John and Sophie Poe, Sophie detailed their lives in Buckboard Days, including John's association with Pat Garrett and his time as sheriff of Lincoln County. Later this was the home of Capt. Burton C. Mossman, founder of the Arizona Rangers and the famed Diamond A Ranch. Allowed to badly deteriorate, it is currently under going extensive renovation. The huge lot has been stripped of most of its vegetation.
