Long Description:
In 1916, the club purchased the land that now contains holes 1 through 7 and 15 through 18 and hired Donald Ross, rated the best golf architect in the game's history, to build an 18-hole course. That course, which is the one in play today, opened the weekend of July 4, 1917.
The 18-hole golf course measures 6490 yards from the back tees, 6235 yards from the middle and 5686 yards from the ladies tees.
The club house also is home some tennis courts, bowling alleys, pools, & is a place for elegant dining.
Riverton Country Club is home to Burlington County Times "Best Golf Shop" for 2001, 2002 and 2003. The Pro Shop is operated by Fred Phillips, PGA Class "A" Professional, who has been at Riverton Country Club for 37 years.
