Visitor center is near the parking lot, while the ranch house and associated sights are a distance away via a foot path. Visitor center is very basis, with information about the park. You also get your tickets for the ranch house tours, or the wagon tour here. Has very limited number of books and souvenirs, plus the passport cancellation station.
The park itself is free, and has the original ranch house for an operation that controlled over 10,000,000 acres with over 100,000 head of cattle at its peak. There are also a number of out buildings, some of which have interesting exhibits. The park can be very busy during the summer months, hence a "shoulder season" visit can be much less crowed.
