The Musical Theater Basel with its 1'557 seats is one of Switzerland’s finest and most modern theatre and concert halls. With its surface of 270 square meters, more than 50 stage elevators and its 26 meter high stage tower (measured from the basement floor) its stage meets all the technical requirements of major international productions. The foyer contains five bars on two floors.
The building was originally a hall of the nearby exhibition center and was converted to a musical theater in the mid-90ies.
