Gotta love the irony in the name. Cat Rock is a wooded parcel of land off Route 117 in Weston that allows dogs and owners to walk and meet. It was once a ski hill that the town ran to 1978.

to get to Cat Rock, at the Drabbington Way entrance, from Mass. Rte 117 in Waltham go west into Weston, then Drabbington Way on the right. Proceed down Drabbington Way to the end of the road and the entrance to the park.

I had entered the park from another entrance at the end of Indian Hill Street. Coordinates are given in the alternate parking area. At this parking area, there were no formal parking spaces. Vehicles were left on one side of the road in front of the gate. Since we did not enter at Drabbington Way, I do not know if formal parking spaces are available there.

According to posted signs, the park allows dogs to the park. For owners with up to three dogs, dogs may be off leash. For three or more, the dogs must be leashed. When we were there, there were people with their dogs, especially in a field by a pond.
