The older memorial consists of a plaque mounted to a rock with text:
In honor of
Wilbur A Hildengorf
Arthur C Woodcox
Robert J Hartman
Clarence G Niendorf
who in the time of our country's need, willingly laid aside their duties, to enter the military service, offering their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor on the altars of our country. That a government of the people, for the people, and by the people shall not perish.

Access instructions: Waymark is in Rotary Garden of Honor, which is small corner in the Soldiers Memorial Park. There is a picnic pavilion (best location to park). The set of memorials remembering veterans of several wars is just off a busy main street. Lit at night.
