NOS - 841 3320 B - Bar Harbor, ME - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This National Ocean Service (NOS) tidal bench mark disk belongs to a set of tidal bench marks with the Station ID 8413320. This bench mark is maybe not the most interesting one of these tidal bench marks, however it is the bench mark in the most interesting place. It is set between two old Rodman/Dahlgren cannons.

You'll find this bench mark in Bar Harbour, Maine near the municipal pier and gage site in Agamont Park. The park is located north-east of the intersection of Main St and Newport Dr. The two black cannons are 200 feet east of the center of the park. The bench mark sits between these two cannons in the concrete base. The disk is stamped 3320 B 2005, it has a circle with a cross in the middle. So far this bench mark is not listed in the NOS datasheet I provide further down.

Btw, the white ship in the background of the third waymark image is the four-masted schooner Margaret Todd. The fifth waymark image shows the cannons from the front with a bride in the background. They were doing a wedding photo shooting while I discovered the bench mark.
