This deinonychus statue is one of several other dinosaur statues within the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.
Deinonychus is a close relative of the smaller Velociraptor, found in Late Cretaceous-age rock formations in Central Asia.
The first remains of deinonychus were found in Montana in 1931.
