Tall flagpole dedicated to all of our country's veterans. The small plaque on its base reads:
Dedicated
to those who
answered our
country's call.
The flagpole is located in the middle of the walkway on the Main Street side of the Chaves County Courthouse. This is the walkway that led to the former west side main entrance to the courthouse before the remodel that moved the entrance to the east side. Due to the height of the flagpole it is quite noticeable to anyone passing by.

Description of Memorial:
Very tall flagpole that is immediately noticeable to anyone who looks at this outstanding courthouse. If you walk up the sidewalk, you have to step around the flagpole, at which time your eyes are drawn to the small plaque at its base.
