Not sure of all the names, but this lot has been home to many used car dealers in my 47 years, and dates back to 1954. Known locally as Chief Pontiac, I seem to remember that the right arm once waved, and an examination of the sign last week seemed to support that memory. A TV commercial for Cherokee Motors that ran when I was a kid used the tag line "Where Paddock meets Vine at the big Indian sign", and I remember being very excited when we passed it one time because I knew EXACTLY where we were. The neon appears to no longer exist.
