There are nine abstract sculptures in all of people including one of Lady Liberty. Someone or Some bodies decided to take some junk and make several whimsical, real-looking robot people. My favorite is the statue of liberty whose insides are made up of all manner of scraps including golf clubs and used auto parts.
There is a dinosaur, a simple human-like figure, a family of three, a butterfly and a figure next to it, and two other abstract figures. If you are a New Jersian who frequents the coast and goes down the shore, then you have noticed this place. I have been driving by this business for years and have watched their collection of abstract robot figures grow and grow to the impressive collection they have today.
The sculptor of all these wonderful tin men (and possibly women) is Tom Peterson. The Pterodactyl sculpture, and the ten foot tall medieval knight previously written about were not to be seen. They might be inside. The latest sculpture at Peterson's is an 8-ft. tall Statue of Liberty made completely of scrap. This was in 2007 so it seems its been a few years since something new has been added.
