The trail is hard packed with the red crushed rock stuff. There is a beautiful lake in the center and the trail wraps around it. I discovered this trail and trailhead because of geocaching. We walked over a small bridge at tone point and passed a gazebo, too. Parking is a snap as there is a semi-large dirt area to park. It is unorganized so just park wherever. I am not sure what it means but the number 2.8 is on the trailhead marker.
