This fantastic covered bridge marks the entrance to Cumberland Gap where there's nothing but relaxation to be had.

Located in Cumberland Gap, this trail stop along the Appalachian Quilt Trail is part of Claiborne County, Tennessee within the East TN region.

History

This bridge used to carry trains over Gap Creek. After the train tracks were removed, it was made into a walking/biking trail and covered. It is located in Cumberland Gap, TN.?In the 1800's the L & N railroad ran trains through here between Cumberland Gap and Harrogate. Some time in the 1900s, the tracks were pulled and this line was converted to walking and biking trails. This bridge and its sister bridge to the south were covered.
