The Bureau of Land Management’s Gold Nugget Recreation Site provides day-use facilities including picnicking, restrooms, river access, and interpretation of geologic features, early gold mining, the Takelma Indian people, and the Scenic Byway.
The Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway extends for 172 miles from Roseburg to Gold Hill following Ore. Hwys. 138, 230, 62, and 234.
