DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 1.9 MI W FROM TENN NC STATE LINE. 1.9 MILES WEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 70 FROM THE TENNESSEE-NORTH CAROLINA STATE LINE, GREENE COUNTY, AT THE TOP OF A MOUNTAIN, 20 YARDS NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE OLD HIGHWAY, 21 YARDS NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 70, 30 YARDS NORTHEAST OF A ROCK CUT SOUTHWEST OF THE HIGHWAY, AND IN THE CENTER OF THE OLD HIGHWAY. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED X 117 1935 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 2 FEET ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.

My coords are 50 measurement average using a 60CSx, thus roughly 60' different that the benchmark page. The BM is located at a large gravel pulloff, thus plently of parking.
