This standard campground provided by the Department of Conservation offers the very basics -- longdrops, 10 tent site, and a picnic table.

It is a very scenic location in Trotters Gorge and very quiet given how close it is to the main highway. It is also a great base to explore the East Otago region from Hampden to Palmerston.

For details check out the Trotters Gorge Scenic Reserve's website. The grassed area can be closed off to motor vehicles during wet conditions.
