This is a double-sided historical marker at Gracelawn Cemetery. The other side tells the historical contributions of Milton "Kickingbird" Reynolds. This side of the marker has some great quotes!
Text on marker:
Oklahoma Unassigned Lands
Opened by run April 22, 1889

This city will be what the people will it to be.
M.W. Reynolds

By the townsite legislation we are going to have the city will have a large surplus of lots to be used for the public good. One of the things that ought to be done at once is to lay out a park, courthouse grounds and a state normal school or university grounds. Just now is the time to do it. The foundations of a Godly city are to be laid. Not ten years from now, nor one year, but now.
M.W. Reynolds
