Long Description:
Building was closed on my visit. There was a Louisiana Historical
marker in front of building. Very quiet area with alot of history
and commerce. The Greater New Orleans Airport is located in Kenner.
Detailed history located on secondary website, but a really good,
condensed history is the Louisiana Historical marker, which
states:
The hub of Kenner City Government was built in 1926 to house the
Town Hall, jail and Courthouse. In 1956the city hall moved. The
jail and courthouse relocated in 1970. Today it houses the Kenner
Office of Tourism.
