Ken and Florence Hanna opened a small restaurant in Natick on RT 135 called the Lakeside Cafe. To the locals the restaurant was referred to as Ken,s. In 1941, Ken purchase McHale's Diner with 11 seats in Framingham. Rt 9 at the time was known as Starvation Alley. Over the years Ken enlarged the diner with additional rooms and named each one with a special name. The first was called the Fireplace Room. Then he added the Hickory Room. This restaurant has remained in Ken and Florence's family with their son Timothy taking over the helm.
