Burlington's main Post Office has always occupied the first floor.

At one time, the Internal Revenue Service District Office, Immigration & Naturalization Service Regional Office, US Attorney, Federal Courts, US Marshal, FBI, and a variety of smaller federal offices were all in the upper five floors.

IRS, INS and others gradually moved out, to the point where the upper floors are occupied entirely by the various federal courts, the US Attorney, Marshal and FBI.
