Long Description:
These life size turtles were created over several years by the artist Colin Christian. They are a main attraction to the nature center and can be found at the entrance of the center.

The turtles were made out of fiberglass.

The largest turtle in the garden and the first statue made is the leatherback sea turtle which is approximately 8' long. The other statues include a loggerhead, flatback, green, olive ridley, hawksbill, and kemp's ridley and vary in size.
