Fairly remote BLM site with over 21,000 petroglyphs featuring birds, humans, animals, as well as geometric and abstract designs. The trail leads past some of the best preserved and most interesting examples. Since the trail winds along the top of the ridge, there are also some grand views of the nearby valley along the trail, especially near sunset.

Trail head sign at the edge of the parking lot. There is a 2 dollar parking fee per vehicle, and a sign in sheet.

As trial winds along, the number and types glyphs you see is almost unreal.

There are also views out across the broad valley floor where the peoples who created these glyphs would have raised their crops.

As rock art localities go, this trail had more than we had ever seen in one place. Normally places that say they have thousands of glyphs have only a very limited number that are readily accessible.

This is the most frequently photographed glyph along the trail and it is easy to see why.

While a few special glyphs are marked on the trail map, every bend of the trail, glance up or down brings another delight. If you're into petroglyphs, this is one of those don't miss places.
