The Island in the Sky District visitors center has all the information you need in order to spend your time wisely while visiting this, the most popular area of this large and sprawling park.
A place to get maps or talk to a Ranger in order to get the most out of your visit. The displays focus on the geology of the Park and the large relief map will give you a better appreciation of different areas of the Park.
Being close to Moab, it's easy to get to, and with good planning, will allow you to see this District in a days time. It's where you get and return the Junior Ranger program booklets, buy a souvenir or get your NPS Passport book stamped.
