Long Description:
Now home to the British Medical Association this building was built near the site of Tavistock House. The Blue Plaque is surrounded by stones from the foundation of the house and it reads:

'1851-60
CHARLES DICKENS
NOVELIST
Lived in Tavistock House near this site.'

Amongst some of the novels he wrote here were Bleak House, Hard Times, and Great Expectations.
