Long Description:From a type written not on the schoolhouse window:
"Claylick/Buffalo school was built in 1926 and stood near the
Boat Docks on Claylick creek. The cost for the building was $2,100
dollars. Melville C. Osborne was the first teacher and moved the
school records from the old school that stood near the Greenbo Lake
Dam to this new school. Georgia F. May was the last teacher closing
in 1955 shortly after the land was purchased for a Park."
"The old school building was moved here by the Baily
Construction Co. and was completely restored by the Schmitt
Constrution Co. in 1987 at a cost of $9000 dollars."
"Visitors may visit the inside by contacting the Park Supt. The
school building is available to the public for social groups and
Sunday Church services. For further information please contact the
Park Supt."
