St Paul's Anglican Cathedral is located on the corner Flinders and Swanston Streets in the Melbourne City Centre.
Registered by Heritage Council Victoria, St Paul's was consecrated in 1891. It was built in the High Victorian Gothic Revival architecture style (In the third quarter of the nineteenth century it was popular to build High-Churches in the style inspired by midieval buildings). The original architect was William Butterfield; in 1884, the architecture responsibility was transitioned to Joseph Reed, famous for also design many other Melbourne buildings; his design for the cathedral's spires were constructed between 1926-1933.
