"Mermaids Pools
A short walk along the Bargo River begining at The Rockford Road
Bridge (take Rockford Road from Tahmoor, after crossing the
Rockford Bridge turn right on Charles Point Road) and winding it's
way through spectacular sandstone hills.
After reaching a flat rock the track splits in two, with one
track (The Naked Way) takes walkers along a ridge on an easy walk.
The other track follows the Bargo River (The Potholes Track) and
involves some rock hopping.
Both tracks meet up again on the Matilda Track which leads to a
short track down to The See Through Pool, or continue on to the
Mermaids Pool & Lookout Area.
Caution: Do not allow young children to roam unattended as the
area has steep cliffs as well as water hazards. Take your own
drinking water, food etc as no facilities exist.
Allow 1 1/2 hours return walking time. This is a Grade 4
walk."
