Long Description:

Text from the plaque:

“The Rescue”

The Rescue represents the ultimate role of a FireFighter: “That of Saving Lives.”

The little girl reaching out, portrays the trust that the community and its citizens have in the Fire Service.

This work of art is the creation of Danek Mozdzenski, a local sculptor.

This status stands here as a tribute to all our Fallen FireFighers, who have made the “Supreme Sacrifice” while performing their duties.

The men and women of the Edmonton Fire Service proudly funded this statue.
