This is a must stop for anyone visiting, or even passing through this part of New Mexico. Staffed by personnel from the National Park Service, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management, who can answer any questions you may have, it also functions as the visitor center for El Malpais National Monument. Exhibits highlighting tours of the area, plus a small bookstore make it easy to discover places to see we had not even known about. Has excellent parking facilities including spaces for RVers.
