Long Description:
Memorial in the form of a cross in memory of the fallen in both
world wars. Situated at the junction of Corthworth Lane and Hague
Lane in the village of Wentworth, South Yorkshire. A wreath laying
ceremony is carried out each November. The Memorial was unveiled by
Countess Fitzwilliam of Ireland 17th September 1922. Dedication by
the Bishop of Sheffield. The WW2 names were added later. The
village has a web site
