Long Description:
In downtown Providence, RI, at the intersection of Eddy and Westminster Streets, is the OOP! store that sells all sorts of interesting items. In the store, there is an Art-O-Mat where you can buy cigarette box sized art for $5.00, like other Art-O-Mats.

This machine has an alien theme to it, from the "Moody Teapot from Outer Space" to the "Angry Space Alien with Frosted Scones for Feet." The front area behind the glass is mostly blue with either alien beings or blocks of wood with space ship designs on them. Below them is the selection area with many artists to choose from. The border is painted a neon green. On the side you can see are more designs.

To get to OOP! watch for the one-way signs throughout the area. Many of these roads are barely one car wide with cars parked on one side. The best way would be to go from the Providence City Hall on Dorrance Street one block southeast to Eddy Street and go one block southeast to Westminster Street. The store is at 220 Westminster Street. You are on your own for parking.

The store has been here since July 2007. The store was previously moved from the store in the Providence Place Mall about a mile away. There was another store near Tower Hill by the Brown University Campus. A waymark for an Art-O-Mat was there but was archived. The present Art-O-Mat is different in appearance from the previous machine, but it may have been the same one redecorated, or a new one. But, the machine location is at least 3 miles from the last position and, thus, qualifies as a new waymark.

I talked with the sales person, so she was aware of what I was doing (kind of hard to hide it when the camera flash goes off).
