"A relief panel on upper left front facde of Masonic temple. The panel is divided into two halves. The left half of the panel consists of four figures, each representing a branch of the armed services, set within convex niches lined with gold-colored tiles. The gold-colored tiles symbolize bravery and valor. Three bands of color are placed behind the encased figures. The lowest band, a mosaic of white stones against a gray background represents the land; the middle band, blue with a stylized fish design, represents the sea; and the upper band, with a pattern of birds upon a lighter blue background, indicates the air. To the left of the figures is the moon and to the right, the sun. The right half of the panel depicts fourteen figures, seven on each side, involved in a game of tug-of-war with a large globe in the center. The figures and globe are set against a background of dichromatic rectangles with studded silver-colored stars. The carvings on the capitols, taken from designs of King Solomon's Temple, are lotus, pomegranate, and fringe motif.

The sculpture, which was carved in Italy, is dedicated to Masons who died fighting for the cause of freedom."
