Allentown is a neighborhood of Pittsburgh with once a thriving downtown. During the years of strong industrial activity in the 1950's and 60's, the business district was full of activity.

Today, the district appears somewhat vacant, as a consequence of businesses moving into the suburbs.

The mural shows a trolley, surrounded by reproduction of historical photographs, some depicting historical moments in the history of the Allentown neighborhood. Of particular interest is the black & white image of a curving incline, known as Knoxville incline, and dismantled in 1962.

The tenant in the ground floor of the building is Tetter-Totter Day Care Center.

Mural is addressed at 813 E Warrington Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15210.

The artist, Lucas Stock, has completed several murals in the city of Pittsburgh, and holds an associate degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

The creation of the mural is financed by the Sprout Fund, an urban revitalization fund that is responsible for the creation of over 40 murals in the Pittsburgh area. Maintenance and upkeep is responsibility of Allentown Community Development Corporation.
